Why Did Lord Parshuram Punish all the Kshatriyas 21 times

 


Considered Incarnation of Lord Vishnu it is said that the great devotee of Lord Shiva Lord Parshuram is the god of justice who has killed all the kshatriyas on earth 21 times but you know why Lord Parshuram killed all Kshatriyas claims 21 times. The second one in the social hierarchy is Kshatriyas who are the rulers and warriors of a society their job was to protect, manage and promote will being in the society. The brahmans with the first of the four classes it was their job to pray, study and sacred text and perform religious rituals but the Kshatriyas became very adharmik and began to oppress the world. Lord Vishnu then took birth as the son of the sage Jamdagani and his wife Renuka. Since this was the linkage of the Sage Brighu, Parshuram was also called Bhargav. Parshuram Mission was to protect the Brahmanas and Punish Kshatriyas for their adharm. 




There was a king name Kartavirya who had received all kind of blessings from the sage because of these boones Kartavirya had a thousand arms he conquered and rule the entire world. One day Kartavirya went hunting in the forest he was very tired after the hunt and was invited by sage Jamadagni who had Kamdhenu cow this meant that the cow produces whatever owner wanted. Maharishi arranged food for the whole army with the help of the Kamdhenu cow. Kartavirya who was so impressed with Kamdhenu cow he asked sage to give it to him but sage refused as it was the only way to manage Aashram and Maintain life. At this time Kartavirya was angry and destroyed the aashram of the sage Jamadagni and started taking kamdhenu at that moment kamdhenu departed from his hands went towards heaven. When lord Parshuram arrived at the ashram her mother Renuka explained all the details to him. 


Lord Parshuram was so angry after seeing disrespect of his parents and the ashram. The Mighty Lord Parshuram decided to destroy the evil crusader and his army at the same time lord Parshuram cut 1000 arms and killed Kartavirya. After killing the Kartavirya, on the orders of his father Lord Parshuram made pilgrimages to atone for the slaughter after a while when Parshuram was absent when Kartavirya son arrived at the Ashram and killed Jamadagni after his father's death Parshuram anger was awakened he killed all the Kshatriya in the world 21 times. On the plains of Kurukshetra he built 5 wells filled with Kshatriya blood then Parshuram handed the world over to Kashyap and moved to Mount Mahendra
